Amber MatzWe are pleased to formally introduce James LaFlamme! After a 22-year career in the hospitality industry James made the decision to focus soley on the training and development of leaders - something that had long been his favorite part of being on a management team. His desire to see others succeed prompts his passionate leadership of our sales team and makes him an integral piece of everything we do. In his free time, he explores his passion for food, wine and cooking, enjoys travel, golf, and most importantly, spending time with his beautiful daughter.

What does working at Rapport mean to you?

My decision to work at Rapport has meant a greater balance in my whole liife, which means that I am a better person. Perhaps the biggest indicator of the important changes Rapport has helped me make is a photograph of my daughter that I keep in my office. Right next to her picture I have a note she wrote me when I first joined the Rapport team that says, "Dear Dad, Thank you for choosing a good job that will hopefully let you spend time with me. You are the best dad ever!!!! I love you so much!" Working at Rapport means that I never have to have separate parts of my life, and that I will improve myself and my family while improving the business.

What do you love about your position at Rapport?

I love class days! Seeing a new group of students come into our building, and just knowing that when they are done spending time with us that they will have had a life-changing experience makes going to the office something I look forward to with enthusiasm! I get to introduce myself to the class before they leave the office, answer any questions they have and encourage them to give it their all. It's an amazing experience! Plus, I get to work with a team of dedicated professionals who come to work at Rapport because they desire to give back to others, and that means I am working with the best type of people in the world.

If you could share anything with the entire family of Rapport graduates what would it be?

Find a way to give back! Giving back is a huge part of our commitment to leadership. There is no greater calling than service, and everyday that is proven to me in another way. I recently went On-Team for Eagle Quest and had the most insightful, amazing experience all because I came prepared to serve others. Volunteer in your community, mentor a child, start a neighborhood project and come back On- Team. I promise you that givers really do gain.
