MEET LEIGH MASTRANTONIO: ORGANIZATIONAL PERFORMANCE CONSULTANT

Leigh Mastrantonio is an Organizational Performance Consultant with Rapport Leadership International. She has been leading organizational change in small and large businesses for over 23 years. Joining Rapport in 2006, she was excited to bring her experience, positive approach, and desire for excellence to the company. Leigh is thrilled to work with her Rapport teammates and clients to gain a deeper understanding of the challenges today’s businesses face and create organizational solutions that overcome those challenges and allow people to perform at their best.

She is a native Californian, a graduate of University of California, Davis, and has been a resident of the Sacramento region since 1993. She has been married to her best friend Pat for 22 years and they have 2 amazing children, Adam (16) and Carissa (11), who teach her every day how important it is to set priorities, to appreciate the brilliance in others, and to have fun in everything you do. She is an active school volunteer and her favorite activities include taking long rides on her bicycle and exploring the many wonders of California with her family.

What does working at Rapport mean to you?
Working at Rapport means being both a role model and a student of leadership behaviors, simultaneously. As a result, I have a heightened awareness of my actions and their impact on the people around me. I continually focus on the importance of creating positive outcomes in relationships, allowing others to support me, and expressing vulnerability and humility. Yet, while I have made strides in improving in these aspects of my life, I know that leadership, like life, is about the journey. I will never be “done.” Some days this is a tough pill to swallow because I really like to check things off a list!

What do you love about your position at Rapport?
I love so many things about my position at Rapport! For example, I interact with nearly every person in our company. Getting to know my incredible teammates and being familiar with what they do and what is important to their success deepens my appreciation of each person and broadens my perspective. This knowledge allows me to be grounded in the realities of organizations and sensitizes me to many of the challenges in our clients’ worlds.

I also love that I work with our amazing Rapport clients. Not only do I get to partner with them and gain a greater understanding of their organizations, I then get to collaborate with them to create solutions to take their leadership, their teamwork, and their results to another level. To top it all off, I get to deliver a custom designed workshop to their organization and watch them take their learning experiences and apply them immediately throughout the class. WOW!

Lastly, I love that every single day I have the opportunity to live my passion of helping people and organizations be better than they already are. It is so fulfilling to be able to utilize my strengths and share my knowledge while learning from others and making a positive difference.

If you could share anything with the Rapport family of graduates, what would it be?

I would want everyone to recognize the power of Believing: believing in yourself; believing in the brilliance of others, believing in your dreams, and believing in the vision of people respecting each other and looking beyond their differences to create innovative solutions for a better world. Our beliefs are powerful. They affect the way we see the world, the actions we take, and, ultimately, the results we get. When we believe in each other and act on those beliefs, we are united and the power of one becomes the power of many. It is through the conviction of our beliefs that each of us will make a positive difference and build a world in rapport.
