Three Cheers for the first ever power soccer world cup champions - team usa!

Team USA after winning the Power Soccer World Cup Championship
In January, Rapport team members were introduced to another incredible team – the USA Power Soccer Team. As the team chosen to represent the United Stated in the first ever Power Soccer World Cup in Japan, Rapport knew that they were working with top athletes who had achieved a major milestone personally, and for the awareness of Power Soccer. The first sport ever developed for Power Wheelchair users, Power Soccer players zip around a basketball court at speeds in excess of five mph maneuvering an oversize soccer ball through the goal.
We joined them at the beginning of their initial training camp as Team USA to provide leadership training to a team that was in the first stages of forming. Michael Saletta, CEO of Rapport Leadership International, personally donated his time to create and facilitate processes that would help the team bond and perform as a powerful unit. Although the concept of leadership training initially met with some skepticism, the players named it as one of the best parts of the training camp in the end. As for us at Rapport, meeting, working with and getting to know the athletes of Team USA easily counts among our 10 best experiences of 2007 – and the year isn’t even over.
We want to invite you to join us in congratulating this amazing team for taking home the first Power Soccer World Cup championship! We at Rapport are humbled and honored to have had the opportunity to work with the team.
Way to go USA!
