Real Leadership Summit Review

Rapport’s Real Leadership Summit took place November 8-10, 2007. Approximately 170 passionate leaders participated in two action packed days of interactive breakout sessions, inspirational keynote speeches and informative content on how to effectively apply Rapport’s training.
Our keynote speakers far exceeded everyone’s expectations. Rapport’s National Teen Spokesperson, Jace Meier, started things off by showing the power of his leadership as he graced the stage with confidence and poise. The 18 year-old prodigy delivered a tremendous message of family values, perseverance and the passionate pursuit of one’s dreams.
Chris Finn shared his inspirational story of leading the U.S. Power Soccer Team to becoming world champions in Japan this year. His touching speech entitled “I am Able” reminded us of our unlimited potential and the courage to overcome adversity to achieve our dreams.
John Case, President of Electrolux, shared his F.A.T. philosophy (Focus, Accountability, and Teamwork) and his values-based leadership approach. Everyone took copious notes as John shared his proven strategy methods, team building lessons and the amazing results created at Electrolux using Rapport’s training to help build a strong business culture.
Dr. Al Ringleb, Executive Director of CIMBA University located in Asolo, Italy, shared how ‘real’ leadership development is missing in our educational system, and how he is working to change that. He has incorporated Rapport’s Leadership Breakthrough One class in both the undergraduate and graduate CIMBA programs, and he is actively pursing a greater understanding of leadership on the neurological level. Dr. Ringleb provided an insightful look into the brain by linking Rapport’s training to the neuroscience of leadership and the science of creating behavioral change.
Our trainers and coaches poured delivered powerful breakout sessions – each of the six breakouts addressed a different area of leadership application. The general sessions linked the business needs and performance behaviors of organizations to the Rapport training experience, language and behaviors. We also addressed the five steps to creating a Breakthrough Culture and the most effective formula for getting sustainable results from your training investment.
Friday evening’s dinner included high energy entertainment by Jason Nious, a star performer from the world renowned show Stomp. In typical Rapport fashion, Jason pulled a dozen Rapport graduates on stage and choreographed a passionate and high energy show. Jason awed the crowd with his inspirational rhythm dance while sharing the history and traditions of his art.
An award ceremony followed the entertainment to recognize some of our amazing Rapport clients. Please join us in congratulating the following winners of the 3% Award and the Breakthrough Culture Award.
3% Award
The Rapport Leadership International 3% Award recognizes clients for living and sharing the core philosophies and teachings of Rapport’s Training. The 3% Award symbolizes the positive ripple effect created in the world as each person shows up as a strong example of leadership. These clients give back to make a significant impact within their business, families, and community.
The 3% Award is derived from the philosophy of the tipping point and ‘pay it forward’ – in that it takes 3% of any population to begin to create a shift in thinking, attitude, and action. Being part of the 3% is being a living example of leadership, and through this positive influence, others will benefit.
