To Whom it May Concern:
I would like to take this opportunity to thank the Werklund Foundation for the fantastic gift of being able to attend the recent Rapport Leadership Breakthrough One session in Las Vegas on January 25-27, 2007. This has been an eye opening and personally moving couple of days. I have been a part of a large number of professional development sessions, major conferences and individual coaching; and I will put this session at the top of the list for having the most impact. I can see the transference already occurring within my position as an Associate Principal, but also as a teacher of grade 11 and 12 students. This process will have a large impact on my staff as they go through Leadership Breakthrough One over the next three months. I can only imagine what the outcome will be. When it comes to the development of these key individuals, I know that this will also have a major impact on those students that these teachers will interact with. The passion, enthusiasm and joy that I have come away with after the last two days that I have been a part of this process has helped me to rediscover the little lost bits of passion that I have for this career. There are many teachers, who once exposed to Rapport, will light up the classroom as they once did. I foresee a huge market in Canada, more specifically in Alberta, for this form of leadership training, and that when the word gets out about the effectiveness of the program it will grow like wildfire.
On another note, I see a huge potential for this training to positively change the world through the delivery of it to our youth. Students in this day and age are faced with many pressures ranging from drugs, alcohol, money, peers, home and stiffer competition. I see many emotionally wounded children walking our halls everyday and the damage that it does to their education. I could only imagine how a process like this can free many of our students from these emotional blocks, ignite true passion, give clear focus and develop a strong, unshakeable confidence in one’s self. I can see a whole generation of youth not tied down to the constraints of the past and looking passionately toward the future. I look forward to working with the Werklund Foundation and Rapport Leadership International to make this happen for our youth.
