MEET JOHN POURCIAU: OPERATIONS manager
We are proud to introduce John Pourciau, Operations Manager for Rapport Leadership International. In 2005 John moved across the country from Jacksonville, Florida, searching for a fulfilling adventure and found it when he joined our team as a business analyst in March of 2006. A graduate of the University of North Florida with a Bachelor of Arts in English, John’s creative spirit invigorated the Rapport team. His talent for discovering information about our business and strategically applying it to create amazing results, coupled with his driving work ethic, led to his promotion to Operations Manager in early 2008. In his free moments, John enjoys spending time with his friends, reading a good book, pursuing economics and art, or playing with his amazing nephews.
What does working at Rapport mean to me?
It means I have the opportunity to create my own success; I get to think creatively, receive honest feedback, and take ownership of all my actions. I have the freedom to make mistakes and the responsibility to hold myself accountable and find solutions – it means I am empowered! I have an amazing team that believes in me and supports me in unleashing my potential. I am able to build on my strengths and help my team members discover and enhance their strengths. What do I love about my position at Rapport?
I get to live a highly driven, self-motivated, and honest life each day through Rapport’s values, mission, and culture. I enjoy working on numerous teams and projects that allow me to learn about the business as a whole. These experiences provide me the opportunity to listen to different perspectives and be a part of creating win-win solutions for both our internal and external clients. I love being solution-driven, creative, and action-focused, and I love being in a position that allows me to grow and learn with my team. The position of Operations Manager has pushed me to live those qualities every day. I love being in my position because each day I get to push myself to learn how I can improve my team, myself, and Rapport.
If I could share anything with the Rapport family of graduates, what would it be?
Never stop learning! Ask questions! Challenge the world around you and create awareness in yourself and in others. We are not aware of what we do not know, so we must use the greatest resource we have, the people who surround us, and discover as much as we can learn from each other.
