THE RESULTS ARE IN! TEEN LEADERSHIP STUDIES PRESENTED IN HALIFAX
The University of Calgary recently conducted studies on “The Effectiveness of the Rapport Teen Leadership Breakthrough Program in Supporting the Development of Interpersonal Skills” and “Using The Teen Leadership Breakthrough Program to Improve Intrapersonal Outcomes.”
The study shows that Teen Leadership Breakthrough graduates experience sustainable changes in self-esteem, self-awareness, self-confidence, and core values, which is important because youth with positive self-esteem, self-confidence and resilience will have more successful academic, social, and vocational outcomes. The University presented its findings at the 69th Canadian Psychological Association (CPA) Annual Convention in Halifax, Nova Scotia, June 12.
Rapport’s Teen Leadership Breakthrough incorporates experiential, interactive, and simulated learning and direct instruction and feedback. The activities are designed to enhance participants’ understanding of themselves as they learn self-awareness, self-regulation, and emotional recognition.
