Meet amber matz: leadership training advisor
We are pleased to formally introduce Amber Matz! Amber began with Rapport over four years ago, and originally made her mark by serving as our Director of First Impressions where she earned the first ever Hedgehog of the Year (employee of the year) award. Amber transitioned into the role of Leadership Training Advisor in early 2005 where she has truly shined. Amber refers to herself as The Ambassador of Happiness - a title that couldn't suit her more. Amber's upbeat attitude, positive outlook and enthusiasm for life impact both her clients and team members daily.
What does working at Rapport mean to you?
For me, Rapport is a way of life. I feel lucky to have found an organization that supports me in every way. When I walk through the doors, I know that I will be trusted, respected and held accountable every day. My incredible team allows and empowers me to be true to myself – the best me. I belong here, where change and growth are imminent and essential parts of our culture. My team and our training are integral parts of the joy and success I enjoy in my daily life reflect in my overall happiness!
What do you love about your position at Rapport?
I love knowing that I make a difference and because of that, other people out in the world choose to make a difference. My position allows me to meet a variety of people and build genuine relationships with each of them. I get to support and inform many people and in those conversations, I am also supported and informed. What I give comes back to me, over and over again.
If you could share anything with the entire family of Rapport graduates what would it be?
Use what you have learned! There is power in knowledge, only if it is applied. Be responsible for your actions, ask for feedback, hold others accountable and be the change you wish to see in the world. There is great unity in diversity! Be open to new people, ideas, and experiences; you will learn more than you can imagine. Focus on the positive, create your outcomes, and bring out the best in others. Remember by living your dash and staying true to yourself, you will consciously inspire others to do the same.
