Elio navarro of power soccer usa thanks rapport

Dear Friends at Rapport Leadership International :
Thank you so much for your generous donation of time, energy and inspiration to the United States National Team of Power Wheelchair Soccer. Your generosity made it possible for my teammates and I to successfully launch our journey to the Power Soccer World Cup!
Just to let you know, I am 26 years old and work as a professional in the IT industry. I am used to being challenged everyday as I help implement and rollout multi-million dollar computer systems for the largest accounting firm in the world. I have undergone countless leadership/trust-building training sessions with top consulting firms from around the world through my companies extensive employee improvement and manager training programs. However, not until Michael Saletta and his entire Rapport Leadership training team came in for two amazing sessions with our USA Team, did I truly learn what it means to be... a leader.
I learned how to trust my teammates and believe in their ability to deliver and their commitment to success. I learned the importance of supporting your teammates and focusing on the team instead of yourself. I learned that the words you use are extremely powerful and influence your mindset, attitude and ultimately your team's performance on the field. I learned that communication, in any form, is critical to success on the field and that no matter how difficult it may be physically or mentally to communicate during the high-intensity of the game, that you can still achieve higher and higher levels of quality communication. We all learned how to become better teammates and encourage each other to become better leaders. Leadership is not about telling people what to do or standing out above your teammates, but more about taking ownership of your team, your responsibilities, your mission and giving 100% to your team on and off the field - and believing that together we are an unbeatable, united force and a goal scoring machine!
Once again, thank you so much for making our team and our lives better, We will keep you posted as we continue to pursue our mission to win the World Cup, become a Paralympics sport, and forever change the mindset of what can be achieved from a power wheelchair.
Sincerely,
Elio Navarro
